      Extremely cute location right across from the pier. Outdoor seating, but lots of people and easy to find. The line is fast-moving but actually getting my order was a bit of a wait (this is at 12:00 on a Friday, so understandable). Thr food smacks hard, everything is delicious and so flavorful. Hands down one of the best fish tacos I've had in a while, and the waffle fries were a welcome surprise. I normally skip coleslaw at fish n chips places, but the slaw here is mayo-free and super refreshing after all the fried food. Portion sizes were pretty decent for the price point, too.

      If you're looking for a fun fish n chips spot by the pier, definitely drop by. The hot food was great, but I'd love to try their smoothie bowls on my next visit.

      Long ago, we used to live closer to this location and consistently frequented and enjoyed the Tin Fish.

      Having moved further away, we were in the area again after four or so years from our last visit (giving us a good, "then and now" perspective).

      As always, and the reason for four stars, is the location - no other seafood place is within such close walking distance of a beach and pier walk.

      Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing, especially with remembering how it once was. The fish in the fish 'n chips used to be large pieces of meaty fried fish. Now, the fish was a cross between a fish stick and a fish strip, very little to bite into and largely breading.

      The chips (crisscross potato fries) and the house salad were great; the coleslaw was only so-so.

      Common with most every restaurant nowadays, the price of the food and meal has gone up quite a bit, with just mine and my spouses' meal costing a little over $70 (2 combo meals, 1 shared salad, and one fountain drink).

      Overall, when in the area, we will be back to the place due to its' location and hope that some of the quality we experienced years ago, returns.

      In a way it's a little pricey for some food you can get on the beach but I guess that's the reason why they can drive the price up a little. This little spot if located almost under the pier in its center with views of the beach depending on where you're sitting.

      Now despite what I said about it being a bit pricey for being under the pier, the food itself was really good! You can get plenty of sauce and it all really hits the spot after a Long Beach day. I'd stay stop by if you're in the area.

      My partner and I stumbled upon this spot conveniently beneath the Oceanside pier and were blown away. The owner's exceptional customer service truly stood out. They not only welcomed us warmly but also happily accommodated our request to split the fruit bowl portions so we could try both açaí and dragon fruit flavors for the price of one. The ambiance was clean and calm with no line as we were there early in the morning between 8-9 am. Each bowl was a refreshing burst of flavors and wholesome ingredients, leaving us energized and satisfied, perfect for starting the morning before watching the local pro surfing event. Whether you're an açaí aficionado or prefer the unique taste of dragon fruit, this place has you covered. Highly recommend stopping by for a healthy and delicious treat!

      PIER SHENANIGANS
      (4 stars)

      Watch out for the swarms of bees! They have signs posted.

      - FOOD: surprisingly good
      - PRICE: fair
      - SERVICE: good
      - AMBIANCE: at the base of the pier.

      Last weekend of summer, surf competition, beach cruising, and fish and chips... a very SoCal vibe. Was not my first pick of eats (wanted to eat on the pier) but dogs are not allowed on the pier and have settled at the base of the pier. Saw a line here and was craving fish and chips so why not. Line took awhile. Food prep wasn't that bad of a wait (~10min). Not every place offers Halibut fish and chips so when it's posted it's a must.

      :: FOOD ::
      HALIBUT FISH AND CHIPS ($19) - I will spend the extra money for halibut. It came with fries and a side of coleslaw. Drink was purchased separately. When I opened the plate i looked at the fish and wondered. Okay, I had low expectations but to my surprise it was pretty good. The seasoning was good. The fish to batter ratio was 80:20, more fish than batter. The halibut was firm and delicious. It came with ketchup and tartar and slices of lemon, lemon juice is just fine. The coleslaw was good... pickled with a little sweetness! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

      :: SERVICE ::
      Young adults/teens running the shop but they were efficient with how they got orders in and out. Tip them well! Line moves slow. Food delivery comes out on average 10 minutes. And it's all nice and packed... you only need to grab your own napkins.

      Def would come back but not in a rush.

      Until the next bite.

      Food was good. The spot on the beach would be better if you could see the water. It is also difficult to get to in a wheelchair. The honeybees are abundant at the picnic table. Must be aware, they do post a sign. The service is kind and quick.

      Came across this place because I checked out Oceanside Beach, I went at the right time it was not crowded and it was just nice. The water was a little chilly but that didn't stop me from walking in the water. The pier was nice and got some great photos and on my way back to the car I came across this place. The price was ok but I'm sure it's a little high due to the fact that it's a beach setting. The menu was not too much and I did not wait long for my food. The benches did have a lot of spider webs on them and the bees and flies were around which made eating sort of annoying. I got their crab cakes which were moist and very good. I got their bacon cheeseburgers and it came with fries. It was a big portion and was not able to finish. My colleague got a fish taco and she said it tasted very fresh and would recommend it. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all my questions.
