Richards Performance Muffler

Always wanted to get some exhaust work done by RPM and today I did.

Phoned them a couple days ago for a quote.

Took it in today and it didn't go entirely smooth. But I did bring them a slightly used midpipe for my Lexus.

I also arrived right at their lunch break for the guys. Everything was smoothed over and got a call back after their lunch break to get an actual quote . It was very close to the original.

They did cut my stock midpipe which I asked them not too. Don't think it's a big deal as they welded it right back together in about 15 minutes.

So far so great on the newly installed midpipe. No check engine light which is one of my mail goals to a proper install.

RPM is a little rough around the collar to deal with so you better not be easily offended. They deal with a lot of off-road vehicles and it's just an exhaust pipe. A cake walk for them.

Aaron and Troy knocked it out of the park for me. Aaron mandrel bent stainless exhaust tubing exactly to my specifications. I'm building a custom exhaust system for my hotrod with 304 Stainless steel and wanted them bent the tubing mandrel bent. I made an appointment and got the whole job done in less than an hour. I'll be back for more custom work in the future. On top of that, the shop is extremely tidy and organized.

Neighbor had their 4Runners exhaust tail pipe fixed by RPM. 2 week later I notice a bigger issue. I volunteered to take her 4Runner back for them to look at. 1st, they took the Toyota right in ( no waiting). 2nd, they not only took the time to explain what happened but without charging RPM did the additional work without question. Understanding that the owner didn't know much about the problem they went ahead and fixed it. Again, not charging for the additional work. Clearing you don't see this kind of customer service anymore. 5 Stars for the owner who approved the fix and staff who did the work. Highly recommend R.P.M.

I have used RPM before and for my last truck.

RPM replaced my cat after it had been stolen out of my car right in my driveway! Insurance covered the cost and RPM was able to find a suitable replacement after I had the ID sticker replaced from under the hood so we could make sure the part was compatible.
Fast forward to a little over a year after that, strange rattling coming from the cat, we bring it in and they confirm it is the converter but cannot determine a diagnosis because there is basically nothing left of the ring.
Despite knowing that it will not likely be covered under warranty without an adequate diagnosis, Richard went to bat and even though he could not get in touch with the right person at the distributor right away, replaced the cat minus the rattling parts so it is drivable and will try to get the part replaced under warranty on Monday.
Now that is service!

Just had a muffler installed on my 4Runner. Shout out to Troy and the RPM team for the great quality and fair price!

Had my GX470 muffler delete done few months ago and since then i notice the condensation leaking from the welds so today i called since im free to try to fix this issue i shouldnt have and Nick picked up and was very rude about it and smart a$$ bottom line is dont go here unless you want booger work

We were camping in an Oceanside private campground and someone drove over our light umbilical cord we use to connect the trailer to the tow van. This was a Sunday afternoon we drove to San Diego to purchase a new 7 blade connector. It proved too much to complete without proper tools. We tried calling the parks referrals and no one was available. We were referred to Richard by a local trailer manufacturer. We stopped by his big clean professional showroom and shop. He was very professional and did the change personally. His two big dogs were great for my kids and they all played together. His family that works with him were very nice to our family. I wish we lived closer than Ventura because he would be doing all our welding and muffler work. Thanks Richard and family and staff for getting us repaired and back on the road home.

Unbelievable! I was in - and out - in 30 minutes replacing the old, rusted Catalytic Converter on my 1999 Chevy S-10 Pick-up (93885 Miles).
RPM's service was better than I have had almost anywhere - any business - including some high end restaurants - at any time.
Nick quoted me ($685) a price 24% lower than the next best quote I found ($895), and that quote beat two other quotes I had by huge margins ($1,208 and $1,400 - 44% and even 51% lower than my regular auto repair shop with whom I've been working for over 20 years).
RPM is a clean, well run shop. I was ready to camp out for hours, but hardly had time to scratch the owner's dogs and check my messages....

Absolutely OUTSTANDING products, workmanship and service! Had a custom Water Jacketed Exhaust System made for my 75-year-old speed boat and it turned out absolutely beautiful!

The workmanship was as clean as could be, and fitment was perfect. Cost was more than reasonable and less than estimated!

Everyone was friendly and really made an effort to be helpful!
