Le Rendez-Vous French Bakery

I've been here twice recently. The first time was a great experience. I really only wanted a cappuccino, but after seeing how nice the pastries looked, I figured the family and I would try some.
We had creme brulee, a couple beignets, and the cappuccino.
I was not disappointed. My family loved it and the coffee was great!

This time around, I came back for the coffee and ended up grabbing a slice of mousse cake that was better than I could describe.

On top of that, the best part was the person at the register. It was someone different both times I went, but each time, they were a pleasure. Patient and very helpful.

We went here right at closing. Not too many items left but we did try an almond chocolate croissant, and another pastry that tasted like a beignet donut (can't remember the name). Both were really good, especially the almond chocolate croissant. I never had anything like the almond chocolate croissant before. It was stuffed with so much filling, and had a nice flaky layers. There was also some nice carmelization on the outside. I would drive here again just for this pastry.

The person working at the front was very friendly, and (I presume) French since she was speaking French to someone in the back.

Definitely coming back here! Come early to get the best pick!

The pastries here are amazing. Today I purchased Challah bread, croissants, and beignets. Topped off by friendly and knowledgeable service. I highly recommend checking them out.

The Le Rendez-Vous French Bakery has a stand at the San Marcos Farmers Market. We ordered a loaf of Blue Cheese Sourdough Bread, Olive Bread, a Blueberry Croissant, and Cream Brûlée dessert. Best bread I have ever had! Love the croissant and cream brûlée! The owners are so nice, excellent service! Next time, will take more photos of all the breads. So many different kinds: Feta Cheese, Asiago Cheese, Jalapeño Cheese, Blue Cheese, Various Baked Goods and Desserts!

I got my mom a Black Forest Cake here and it was excellent! Well made cake with fresh, real ingredients. Very nice service on the phone and in person.

I have been coming here for years and also go to them at the Carlsbad Farmer's Market on Weds. I come for two things: Their french baguettes are the absolute best- crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with a nice texture and flavor. They do not put in plastic wrap which messes it up-only paper-they freeze well too. They only make this fabulous ciabbata bread for the Carlsbad Farmers Market. Kept secret! I do not know why. Their creme brulee is pretty good as are their little mini tarts. Lets keep them in business!

This bakery is legit! I have wanted to keep them a secret for so long, but I want them to stick around so I can order their delicious baguettes, beignets, cream puffs, crêpes, croissants, and so much more! They even do my annual custom orders for Christmas! They are legit French! I have not found a true French bakery in all of San Diego county yet. I've been to Pacific Beach, Vista, and San Diego, but nothing that compares to the deliciousness and authenticity of Le rendezvous.
